Description

This jade bangle is a perfect example of how different hues of green can blend together artistically in a completely natural jadeite. The base colour of the jadeite bangle is a very light tint of green that carries an icy appearance because of the high translucency of the jadeite. This translucency accentuates the swirl-like patterns of colour in this jadeite bangle, combining deeper hues of green with vibrant, vivid green splashes.

The jadeite material in this jade bangle has fine crystal aggregates along with its natural, icy translucency. This imparts a watery lustre that glows in natural lighting. In jadeite jewellery, a fine crystal aggregate structure with high translucency gives the swirls of colour or 飘花 an extra pop, allowing these patterns to appear floating within the icy jadeite material.

In this jadeite bangle, the variances of colour give the bangle its unique beauty. As a note, on the jadeite surfaces where the colour contrasts are most apparent, there are tiny surface lines which can be observed from certain angles. These are surface lines which cannot be polished off and are formed at the locations where different colours of the jadeite meet. These surface lines are completely natural and do not affect the integrity of jadeite bangle.
